~~ Happy Endings ~~
Regina the Chimp is finally Free!
For six years now Regina has been kept in a cage in the basement of a
house. The cage is not properly adapted for animals of this kind.
Six long years without a possibility to go outside and see the daylight. Six
years spent in a dark, unventilated basement in a little bed surrounded by bar.
UPDATE: monday 29th August 2011 Today Regina was collected from Kaunas Zoo by the rescue team of dutch sanctuary Stichting AAP. Regina didn't have to be sedated, she just got into the truck... she knows that she on to a good thing! Now travelling and will arrive in The Netherlands tomorrow! Her new life will start there. First she will have to go into quarantine for a while to see if she is healthy. Then she will be introduced to her new chimpanzee friends. What a wonderful outcome, after 18 years of misery! Now she can learn how to be a genuine chimpanzee lady again. Thank you all for your support and help in rescuing our girl Regina! ♥
