Raccoons in Georgia Need Your Help! Stop HB 423!

From In Defense of Animals:
No matter where you live, please contact Georgia’s Senators and Governor right now to help defeat this bill that, if passed, would allow LIVE raccoons to be trapped and used in terrifying field trial competitions.
First raccoons endure injures, pain and panic in leghold traps, only to be used in field trial competitions, where they are held in cages while hunters train their dogs to "tree-them". Terrified caged raccoons are flung high into trees or hauled across a field or body of water as frantic, barking dogs give chase. They are forced to endure this ordeal repeatedly - sometimes for hours on end.
This horrific bill has already passed the State House, so we MUST stop it from passing through the Senate. Please contact Georgia State Senators and the Governor and ask them to oppose H.B. 423. Phone calls and emails needed!
LET’S GET THE PHONES RINGING and the E-MAIL IN-BOXES FLOODED!
Please follow these easy steps TODAY-
