WEEAC started off in February 2011. At first, it was just me and Gerhard Konig.
The two of us worked together to set things up and write articles and post them around to raise awareness of the action
we wanted to take. It took off fast! People from around the world were interested in joining and working a Rally in their
area. That is when we came across Uwe Siwek. And the three of us worked very hard for the next seven months to make
our dream a reality.
The plan was to have rallies for Animal Rights all around the world on the same day at the same time. As possible given
the time differences. These rallies were to help raise awareness to the plight animals are suffering in so many different
issues all around our world, every single day. Issues so horrific, horror movies pale in comparison.
WEEAC was NEVER about money. We consisted of all volunteers. And each area did fundraising as they needed, to come up
with money for banners, posters, fliers, etc. All did such wonderful work! So our first WEEAC International Day held on
October 8, 2011, turned out very well.
Our Goal and our Purpose was all about raising awareness to the people and uniting other groups and organizations to work
Unfortunately, about two years in, Gerhard Konig had to withdraw, due to circumstances in his life. And now I must also withdraw
due to circumstances in my life. So for the moment. WEEAC International will be closed.
Due to differences of opinion on what WEEAC is about and where it should grow in the future. Uwe Siwek and I have parted
ways and he has created WEEAC - Europa. I have always said that you should not make money off the suffering of animals. That
is not what we are about. We were about volunteers, fundraising for specific events, uniting groups and organizations and
raising awareness. That is the vision Gerhard and I had.
I will keep the Website going. You can still view the actions we were able to achieve throughout these past years.
I Thank Everyone who participated in helping raise awareness for the animals!
